We are seeking an experienced eDiscovery Consultant to support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Division of Examinations (EXAMS) in executing eDiscovery services, SharePoint support, and general technical support. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the SEC with its National Examinations Program (NEP) by providing expertise in data loading, SharePoint management, process optimization, and training to meet the mission of promoting compliance, preventing fraud, monitoring risk, and informing policy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in eDiscovery, SharePoint, and systems administration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Define and implement eDiscovery data loading architecture, including analysis of user requests, data field normalization, and numbering specifications.
- Optimize performance of eDiscovery processes, ensuring efficient data conversion, document extraction, and compliance with SEC policies and governance standards.
- Develop trust, credibility, and strong client relationships with SEC staff, stakeholders, and external partners, identifying opportunities to add value to the EXAMS National Examinations Program (NEP).
- Review all eDiscovery deliverables to ensure that they meet SEC standards, quality expectations, and contractual obligations.
- Lead and direct the successful delivery of eDiscovery services, including data loading, conversion, troubleshooting, and document processing, while adhering to the approved project lifecycle, standards, and processes.
- Manage and oversee the activities of assigned eDiscovery support staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure effective performance.
- Coordinate between internal SEC departments, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation related to eDiscovery processes, data management standards, and system configurations.
- Thoroughly follow established procedures and document work activities to ensure consistency, traceability, and adherence to SEC guidelines.
- Identify and manage risks throughout the eDiscovery project lifecycle, ensuring that potential issues are addressed promptly to maintain project timelines.
- Continuously improve eDiscovery workflows, processes, and systems to enhance data reliability, integrity, and availability.
- Work collaboratively across teams and independently to design and implement technical solutions that meet EXAMS’s eDiscovery needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery processes, providing guidance and expertise to SEC staff and external stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges related to data loading, document review, and system performance.
- Address security vulnerabilities in eDiscovery systems and data management practices, ensuring compliance with federal security standards.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to SEC’s IT teams and EXAMS staff, offering strategic advice and solutions to improve eDiscovery systems.
- Document and demonstrate complex eDiscovery solutions, including system configurations, process improvements, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with project managers and product owners to ensure that project objectives and deliverables are met on time and to the required specifications.
- Determine system requirements, including input/output processes and operational parameters for eDiscovery tools and technologies.
- Continuously update job knowledge by studying the latest eDiscovery tools, technologies, and best practices; attending relevant training sessions; reading industry publications; and maintaining professional networks.
- Ability to learn at a fast pace and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- 5+ years of IT experience in eDiscovery, data management, or related fields.
- Technical lead experience required, with a proven track record of managing and delivering eDiscovery services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Strong understanding of eDiscovery processes, including data loading, document conversion, and review platforms.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and experience in managing large volumes of data.
- Experience with SharePoint, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps for data integration and workflow automation.
- Understanding of network connectivity issues, TCP/IP, routing, and data security in an eDiscovery context.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks, while maintaining high-quality results.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage relationships and expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to apply structured methodologies to eDiscovery processes and project management.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in time management to meet project deadlines.
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to create and present clear reports and documentation.
- Previous experience in data management, document review, or eDiscovery services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
